Type 1xx short numbers are assigned to emergency call, rescue and breakdown services, safety information services and directory enquiries (format=18xy). The numbers of services harmonised at the European level (format = 116xyz) are assigned, as in the rest of Europe, to telephone services providing support and assistance to the population. For SMS/MMS services, the numbers are assigned by the telecommunications service providers.
